Wow, what an intense two days this has been!
June 18 marked the launch of our latest feature: the Media Search for our Gmail Firefox plugin. Since then our systems have been keeping up with the deluge of new photos, videos, and files—a real testament to all the hard work that has gone in to ensuring our service is fast, stable, and super-scalable.
We've quickly fixed a number of top issues:
- Firefox 3.0 compability: Firefox 3.0 is now fully supported. If you've installed the plugin, simply reload your browser window to get the update.
- Gmail Firefox add-on: we've made some major stability improvements which means no more "unresponsive script" errors or long loading times.
- Picasa images: in certain cases Picasa images wouldn't show up when you zoomed into them.
- Password changing form: a minor bug prevented the password change form in the Settings page from opening.
- Logos and screenshots: we've updated the logos for black web page backgrounds.
Thank you for all the feedback you've been sending in. We love hearing what you think—please keep the comments and suggestions coming.
p.s. Here's an awesome Twitter from davidadewumi: "no joke, Xoopit for Gmail is really amazing. For someone with over 1000 photos, videos, and attachments flying around, it's God-send!"
p.p.s. We still have some invitation codes if you want to try Xoopit during this private beta. Click here to sign up.

(Apologies to people who posted comments. We had a minor technical difficulty, but we did save a few of the comments.)
So my question is are you going to make this service available to Gmail App email holders anytime soon ?

What exactly is stored on Xoopit's servers? Email text? Index of links? Index of emails? I can't seem to find that info anywhere. Thanks!

Hi all,
Thanks for the comments. Some more information:
@Manar: Xoopit already works with Gmail Apps for your Domain accounts. Sign up and let us know at feedback@xoopit.com if you have problems.
@Taku: Sorry this has been problematic. Have you actually signed up (with an invitation code)? If not, do that first to get a Xoopit account, and contacts support@xoopit.com if you continue to have trouble.
@doug: We have a post on just this subject here:

I've been using xoopit for a few weeks with gmail (regular) and gmail apps for my google domain. I'm running firefox 3.0 (and f-ing Vista) with the latest updates installed. Firefox is crashing on me A LOT since I installed xoopit. Any connection that you can confirm and is this something you're working on? I like the tool a lot otherwise and would like to tell everyone I know, but...

@Adam This is the first report we've had on that. If you are willing, please send a list of plugins you have installed to support [at] xoopit [dot] com and we'll see if we can find any issues.
